Courses for Parents
Our team of family support officers provide parenting courses throughout the year.
The courses are a great way of sharing experiences, learning new ideas and making new friends.
Courses are usually held at The Lodge and free transport to and from the venue is available if required.
5 to 15s Positive Parenting
An extremely popular course aimed at Mums, Dads
and Carers focussing on:
Coping strategies for parentsSetting boundaries and expectations
Dealing with aggression
Courses take place at

The next course is due to start on Friday 22nd September 2017 and will run for 8 weeks (term time only), ending on Friday 24th November 2017

You may also be interested in an informal parenting group run by Drighlington Primary School
The P.I.P.S group (Parents in Partnership Sessions) run every Friday during term-time 11.15am - 1pm in the community room at Drighlington Primary School.
This is a very informal group of mums, dads, carers and grandparents who have a coffee/tea and chat about any issues that arise such as sleeping problems, healthy diet etc.
They also discuss strategies that have been tried and been successful and share ideas with each other.
There is no fee however voluntary donations are gratefully received.
All welcome including babies and toddlers under your own supervision.
